Salisbury Adds ESPN Houston Show

Former NFL quarterback Sean Salisbury will succeed Chronicle columnist Jerome Solomon as co-host of KFNC’s (97.5 FM) midday sports talk show, station owner David Gow said Wednesday.

Salisbury will work alongside KFNC program director Dave Tepper from noon to 2 p.m. and will continue his 3-7 p.m. show with John Granato on Yahoo! Sports Radio and KGOW (1560 AM).

“We think Sean is a top radio talent,” Gow said. “He has done extraordinarily well for us on Yahoo! Sports Radio, and we think he will have a big impact as a local host on KFNC.”

Solomon announced earlier this month he was leaving his radio show to devote more time to his newspaper duties. He had hosted the show with Tepper since October 2012 and also worked for the station in 2007-2008.
