790 The Ticket has added University of Miami football and NFL star DJ Williams to its roster of on-air hosts. Williams will make his on-air debut on The Ticket on Wednesday, August 17th during the 1p-3p mid-day show with former NFL and college football player Leroy Hoard and on-air personality Brian “The Beast”London.
“We are excited to welcome DJ Williams to the 790 The Ticket family,” said Douglas Abernethy, Regional Vice President and General Manager, Entercom Miami. “Our station is the radio destination of choice for South Florida sports fans. The addition of a local football star like DJ Williams is one of the many ways that we connect with our fans to give them the most relevant and interesting sports content that they are looking for.”
Williams, is a University of Miami Sports Hall of Famer and former NFL Linebacker with the Denver Broncos and the Chicago Bears. He’s slated to appear on The Ticket on Mondays from 4p-7p ET alongside Ethan Skolnick and Chris Wittyngham, Tuesdays from 7a-8a ET with Zaslow, Romberg and Amber, Wednesdays from 1p-3p ET with The Beast and Leroy, and Sundays from 10a-1p ET on The Ticket’s “Aqua and Orange Pre-Game Show.”
Jason Barrett is the President and Founder of Barrett Media since the company was created in September 2015. Prior to its arrival, JB served as a sports radio programmer, launching brands such as 95.7 The Game in San Francisco, and 101 ESPN in St. Louis. He also spent time programming SportsTalk 950 in Philadelphia, 590 The Fan KFNS in St. Louis, and ESPN 1340/1390 in Poughkeepsie, NY. Jason also worked on-air and behind the scenes in local radio at 101.5 WPDH, WTBQ 1110AM, and WPYX 106.5. He also spent two years on the national stage, producing radio shows for ESPN Radio in Bristol, CT. Among them included the Dan Patrick Show, and GameNight.
