Bob Pockrass, one of the most trusted NASCAR journalists around, recently announced his departure from ESPN. It made sense given that ESPN didn’t have any play-by-play rights for the sport. His talents could be better utilized elsewhere.
It looks like “elsewhere” will be at Fox. He made the announcement on Twitter over the weekend.
The network has hired Pockrass as its new NASCAR insider. His employment begins with Speedweeks in Dayton next month. This will be his 27th season covering the event. Fox said in a press release that race fans will see Pockrass on both its digital and linear platforms throughout the season.
