Ed Werder will be back on the Dallas beat for ESPN this month. He will serve as a bureau reporter for the Worldwide Leader covering all of the teams in the city including the Cowboys, a team he has covered for the last 30 years.
Werder first began working with ESPN in 1998. He was a part of the company until 2017 when he was one of nearly 100 employees let go in a massive round of layoffs. Since then, he has done some sideline work for Westwood One’s NFL broadcasts and co=hosted the Cowboys-focused Doomsday Podcast.
“I’m grateful for this opportunity and thankful to all the people who have made it a reality,” Werder said in a press release, noting that ESPN is where he feels he “most belongs.” “It will be tremendous to again be covering great stories and events with an ESPN press credential.”
