As the college basketball season gets ready to begin, ESPN announced new programming and on-air contributors for its recently launched ACC Network.
Joining the network will be two veteran college basketball analysts for ESPN, Cory Alexander and Malcom Huckaby. Alexander, a former All-American for the Virginia Cavaliers began his tenure with ESPN in 2009 after an eight-year NBA career. A standout guard for Boston College from 1990 – 1994, Huckaby joined ESPN in 2012. The college basketball analyst was named an ACC Legend in 2015, although Huckaby never actually played in the ACC with BC not joining the conference until 2005.
ESPN also announced the additions of Dan Bonner and Luke Hancock to the ACC Network. Bonner has been a college basketball analyst since 1977, having covered 34 NCAA Tournaments and previously working with ESPN from 1987 – 2001. Luke Hancock joins the ACC Network while continuing to co-host ESPN Louisville’s The Drive radio show on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. Familiar to ACC basketball fans, Hancock played for Louisville from 2012 – 2014, helping the Cardinals to a championship in 2013.
In addition to their new contributors, ESPN announced a new show exclusive to the ACC Network. Nothing but Net will air Sunday evening during the basketball season, recapping the week’s previous games while also offering a preview of upcoming matchups. The show will debut Sunday, October 27th with a two-hour episode at 8pm ET.
As the college basketball season tips off, Nothing But Net will be live from Syracuse as the Orange host NCAA Champion Virginia on November 6th at 9pm. The show will provide pre-game, halftime and postgame coverage of the Syracuse/Virginia matchup. Kelsey Riggs will host the pre-game show, joined by Cory Alexander and other ACC Network contributors Carlos Boozer and Jordan Cornette.
In a partnership between ESPN and the Atlantic Coast Conference, the ACC Network launched on August 22, 2019 with nearly 450 live contests planned to be broadcast annually, in addition to their original programming.
