Andrew Catalon Offers Feedback To Young Broadcasters

Without live sporting events taking place, broadcasters have significantly more free time on their hands. Many are finding unique ways to entertain and remain productive, including Andrew Catalon from CBS Sports.

Last week, Catalon offered to listen and provide feedback for aspiring broadcasters. It was an especially good opportunity for students that might not be getting their usual reps because of the COVID-19 pandemic. If you sent Catalon a link to your work, he promised to reply with his thoughts and insight. Many broadcasters were eager to get Catalon’s feedback with the final tally reaching 179 links received and responded to.

“If someone in the business watched my tape and offered feedback, that meant the world to me,” Catalon said in an interview with Albany’s News 10. “Not only did I take that feedback and appreciate it, but it motivated me to get better.” Catalon is a graduate of the Newhouse School of Public Communications at Syracuse University.
