ESPN Reportedly Planning To Overhaul NFL Live

ESPN’s daily NFL talk show NFL Live is reportedly about to get a major makeover. Outkick the Coverage’s Bobby Burack reports that ESPN is finalizing a plan that would put Laura Rutledge, Dan Orlovsky, and Marcus Spears on the show everyday.

All three broadcasters are currently part of ESPN’s morning show Get Up!. Burack reports that Rutledge would step away from Get Up! while Orlovsky and Spear would continue to appear, just less frequently.

There are a lot of moving pieces still to be worked out. One of those could be Mina Kimes, who is said to be involved in the new version of NFL Live in some way.

The show currently airs weekdays from 1:30 until 3 pm on the East Coast. Burack reports that a later start time may be coming as well and points to 4 pm as a possibility.

Currently, there are a lot of balls in the air at ESPN. One that could overlap with NFL Live is Monday Night Football, where Orlovsky is considered a candidate to be an analyst in the booth. Burack did not mention how this plan may or may not effect that.
