Starting in August, the ESPN Daily podcast will have a new host. On-air commentator and former co-host of High Noon Pablo Torre is taking over for Mina Kimes who will be joining ESPN’s NFL Live team. Kimes will also contribute to ESPN Daily and serve as host of The Mina Kimes Show featuring Lenny football podcast.
The ESPN Daily podcast will continue to be distributed every weekday morning, and feature topical stories, and additional insights from ESPN’s deep roster of reporters, producers and commentators. Torre will also continue to be seen on ESPN’s afternoon studio shows Highly Questionable and Around the Horn and appear on other network programs.
“I am wildly excited to accept the reins of ESPN Daily from one of my closest friends, Mina Kimes,” said Torre. “I love the show. I love its creative and journalistic potential. And I love the fact that Mina will no longer be able to make fun of me for being the last person on this planet to not have a podcast.”
Norby Williamson, ESPN executive vice president & executive editor, production, said, “Pablo, with his multi-platform and journalistic expertise, will continue bringing the top sports stories to life in new and insightful ways for fans as the host of ESPN Daily. Sports fans will appreciate Pablo joining the ESPN Podcast space as a leading, daily voice.”
