Steve Tasker Joins Buffalo Bills Radio Booth

One week away from the start of the NFL season and the Buffalo Bills appear to have their radio booth set. According to Alan Pergament of The Buffalo News, Bills great Steve Tasker is expected to join longtime play-by-play voice John Murphy on the call.

Tasker, the former wide receiver, gunner and seven-time Pro Bowler for the Bills will replace Eric Wood on the team’s radio call. The retired pro-bowl center joined the Bills broadcast booth last year, but New York’s COVID induced quarantine rules will prevent the Kentucky resident from flying in each week to join the broadcast. Travel restrictions are lifted for players, coaches and other essential team personnel, but Bills broadcasters will likely be calling all games from their home stadium.

In addition to joining the Bills Radio Network last year, Wood also signed on as a game analyst with the ACC Network, a position he’ll maintain this season, making it impossible for him to follow New York’s travel restrictions.

His replacement, Steve Tasker spent 21 years as an analyst for the NFL on CBS and has familiarity working with John Murphy. Tasker has been featured on the team’s daily radio program One Bills Live since 2018, while Murphy co-hosted the show up until this past spring.
