Both college football and NFL fans missed Wes Durham this weekend. First, Durham missed a college game on Saturday. He was not able to be in Chapel Hill to call the North Carolina Tar Heels’ win over Syracuse for the ACC Network.
As Durham noted on Instagram, he was scheduled to call the radio broadcast of the Atlanta Falcons’ season opener, and initially thought he would. The next day though, Durham took to social media again to announce he had rethought that decision and would stay home out of an abundance of caution.
He has been the voice of the Falcons since 2004.

In addition to his play-by-play duties, Wes Durham is also the co-host of Packer & Durham, which airs weekday mornings on the ACC Network and on SiriusXM.
