Tennessee radio host Tim Van Horn has been hired to host the Wake-Up Memphis show on The Mighty 990. Van Horn leaves iHeartMedia’s 600 WREC-AM.
“Tim is going to shake up the Memphis radio world,” KWAM general manager Dalton Glasscocksaid. “He is an incredible broadcast professional, and we are excited for the fast-paced and action-packed show he is going to deliver.”
Van Horn is a multi-talented broadcaster and a former meteorologist at NBC affiliate WMC-TV who was calling Memphis 901 soccer games on ESPN+. He also hosts a podcast called My 3 Subs Soccer. “Tim is a well-respected broadcaster and community leader and his roots in this city runs deep,” Glasscock said.
Van Horn graduated with degrees from the University of Memphis and Memphis State University.
