Peter Rosenberg Loses WWE 24/7 Title On Michael Kay Show

The battles between WFAN and ESPN New York’s afternoon programs are always intense, but not only is The Michael Kay Show the reigning ratings winner, they also briefly held the 24/7 Championship thanks to Peter Rosenberg.

During Sunday night’s WWE Royal Rumble, Rosenberg was shockingly crowned the 24/7 champion after tricking R-Truth, coming in with a low blow and pinning him. A seemingly surprised Rosenberg walked off with the belt and R-Truth angrily shouted, “I’m going to get you Michael Kay.”

Anyone can attempt to take the belt away from the current champion anytime, anywhere, 24 hours a day, seven days a week, as long as a WWE referee is present. Joining The Michael Kay Show to boast his championship belt, Rosenberg’s party was crashed by R-Truth, who pinned the radio host and regained the title of 24/7 champion. Rosenberg has a busy schedule filled with a lot of jobs and he wasn’t able to stay alert enough to hang on to the belt for more than 24 hours.

In addition to co-hosting The Michael Kay Show and mornings on Hot 97, Rosenberg also works as a commentator for WWE Network. Despite losing the belt quickly, holding it for even a brief moment is still a pretty unique feat.
