Kirsten Watson Joins Dodgers TV Crew

The Los Angeles Dodgers made an addition to their TV broadcast crew on Spectrum SportsNet LA, hiring Kirsten Watson as a reporter and host. Watson fills the void left by Alanna Rizzo who recently announced she was leaving the broadcast after seven years.

Watson joins the network after nearly three years with the NFL as their manager of international content. But this isn’t her first time with SportsNet LA, she previously spent two years with the network as a sideline reporter for the Sparks, Lakers and their G League team.

“I am excited to continue my passion as a storyteller with the Los Angeles Dodgers,” Watson said in the announcement. “To have the opportunity to be a member of and represent one of the most iconic sports franchises is an honor.”

Watson graduated from Columbia University in 2017, with her master’s degree in broadcast journalism. She was also the first female recipient of the Stuart Scott Internship-Scholarship from the National Association of Black Journalists and ESPN.
