Dana Loesch Opens Up About Filling Rush Limbaugh’s Time Slot

Rush Limbaugh’s death has left some enormous shoes to fill on conservative talk radio; however, there’s one person that has the opportunity to fill the void left behind by Limbaugh.

During an interview with The Hill, fellow conservative radio host Dana Loesch stated that no one could be like Limbaugh because of the voice and presence he commanded.

“This is the guy that created the industry. It just sounds crazy to even think that somebody could be an heir,” Loesch said. “No one is going to step up and be the heir. It’s not going to happen, and so that’s why I don’t even try. I’m not trying to do what he did.”

However, some radio stations are banking on Loesch to become one of the conservative talk hosts to fill Limbaugh’s shoes. According to the trade publication “Talkers,” Radio America recently reported that “The Dana Show” has replaced “The Rush Limbaugh Show” on several stations.

The report adds that the stations having Loesch’s show on in Limbaugh’s time slot includes KURV-AM in McAllen-Brownsville, Texas; KJNO-AM/FM in Juneau, Alaska; and KJMT-FM in Little Rock-Pine Bluff, Arkansas.

Despite filing Limbaugh’s time slot in some markets, Loesch states that her show is different than Limbaugh’s, less angry. Nonetheless, she does add that when it’s time to get angry, Loesch will get mad over the topics she won’t hesitate.

“I don’t like the nonstop; let’s be angry 24/7,” Loesch said. “I just don’t even know how that can be maintained, nor do I have any interest in doing that kind of radio.”

“Don’t misunderstand me; I mean, there’s a time, you know, for anybody to feel outraged or to be angry over an issue that you can truly be angry about, and I think that’s reasonable.”
