ESPN is shuffling its on air lineup to get more local on air during the day. The station will move Travis Rogers and Allen Sliwa from evenings up to a 9 am start. The show makes the move on Monday.
The station currently airs ESPN Radio content from morning drive until 1 pm, when Mason & Ireland begins. Travis & Sliwa will replace Mike Greenberg’s Greeny in the line up. The station will keep Keyshawn, JWill & Zubin in morning drive. The Max Kellerman Show also remains in the station’s lineup from 1-3 pm.
The move was announced in a creative Twitter post. It included screen shots of many listeners complaining about the lack of LA content before the afternoon followed by Travis & Sliwa announcing their move.
Rodgers has been in several roles since joining ESPN Los Angeles in 2015. He was originally part of the station’s afternoon show with Marcellus Wiley. He then shifted to mornings alongside Keyshawn Johnson and LZ Granderson.
Allen Sliwa has been with ESPN LA since 2009. He has a major presence on the station’s coverage of the Los Angeles Lakers, serving as the studio host of the team’s broadcasts.
