CNN’s Don Lemon will see his show undergo a rebrand as the anchor revealed on
Twitter that starting Monday, Lemon’s news program will be known as “Don Lemon
Tonight.”
Lemon decided to use social and tease the announcement of the rebrand with a vague
statement.
“Earlier, I told you I had an announcement, and I do. It’s been really, really great. This is
the last night that we’ll be ‘CNN Tonight with Don Lemon. I appreciate all the years of
‘CNN Tonight with Don Lemon.’ But changes are coming, and I will fill you in,” Lemon
said.
However, when he revealed that “CNN Tonight with Don Lemon” would be his last,
many speculated that the anchor would be leaving the network. Nonetheless, those who
appreciate the work of Lemon can breathe a sigh of relief as he would go on Twitter to
clear any confusion on what’s going on.
“I got back down to my office after the show. Everybody calm down,” Lemon said. “I
didn’t say I was leaving CNN. I just said it was the end of an era for ‘CNN Tonight with
Don Lemon.’ I’m not leaving CNN. So you will have to tune in Monday at 10 o’clock to
see. That’s it. So relax. I’m not leaving. I’m not leaving.”
Eventually, the audience would know that Lemon’s show would be heading in a new
direction with a rebrand.
