Dan Bongino: Big Tech Has Green Light to Infringe on Free Speech

Nationally syndicated radio host Dan Bongino told Fox News Primetime viewers on Friday that the Biden administration is giving Big Tech a green light to infringe on free speech.

Bongino was reacting to a back-and-forth exchange between White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki and Fox News reporter Peter Doocy that culminated with Psaki telling the reporter that the administration was working with Facebook to quash misinformation about the COVID-19 vaccines.

“We have crossed a red line here. The government — we have a Bill of Rights, right? It’s a document of almost negatives,” Bongino said. “I don’t mean that in a qualitative judgment way. The Bill of Rights tells you what the government can’t do to you. They can’t infringe on your right to self-protection [etcetera].”

Psaki’s response came from Doocy’s line of questioning regarding the government spying on American’s social media usage. Following his inquiry into the length of time the government has been spying, Psaki characterized the question as “loaded and inaccurate.”

“Our biggest concern, and frankly I think it should be your biggest concern, is the number of people who are dying around the country because they are getting misinformation that is leading them to not take a vaccine.”

Bongino said Psaki made it “clearly obvious” that Biden is “deputizing” friendly social media companies to tell others what they cannot say.
