California Gov. Gavin Newsom will join Dominique DiPrima on KBLA Talk 1580 Tuesday. Newsome is facing a recall election that is set for September 14.
A recent poll sponsored by the San Diego Union Tribune, KABC-TV, and KGTV-TV shows 51% of respondents would vote to recall Newsom.
DiPrima has been an outspoken critic of one of Newsom’s toughest competitors, Larry Elder. Two weeks ago, Barrett News Media reported that she used audio from a 26-year-old comedy skit performed by Elder to call his character into question.
“I was really disturbed by the news that the recall election is almost 50-50,” DiPrima said at the time. “The leading candidate to replace Gov. Gavin Newsom is talk radio host Larry Elder, someone who I had my own personal encounter with when I first came to Los Angeles and first started doing talk radio.”
Elder is polling strongly among older voters, Republicans, conservatives, and leads among independents.
