MSNBC’s Chris Hayes Compares Tucker Carlson to David Duke

MSNBC host Chris Hayes compared Fox News star Tucker Carlson to the Ku Klux Klan’s David Duke for his stance on illegal immigration.

The All In host delivered a scathing analysis of Carlson’s views during a segment that aired Friday. Hayes attempted to support his claims of Carlson’s “vicious stupidity” by playing parts of an interview between David Duke and Tom Brokaw that aired in 1989.

“I think that our heritage in this country is being lost,” Duke told Brokaw. “I’m not against the rights of any minorities but I think this country is on its way to being a third world nation.”

In the very next clip, Carlson said, “we have a moral obligation to admit the world’s poor, they tell us, even if it makes our own country poor and dirtier and more divided.”

Carlson’s position on the crisis at the border has been that the Biden administration had political and economic motivations for its lax border policy, which has led to the influx of migrants through the U.S.-Mexico border by the tens of thousands.

“I got to say, in a lot of those moments, Tucker Carlson is a lot more overt with his bigotry than the former KKK guy,” said Hayes.
