It can be easier to hide a baby bump behind a desk than on a sideline. That is why many FOX viewers were surprised on Saturday to learn that Jenny Taft is expecting a baby. Gus Johnson gave America the news in the third quarter of Saturday night’s Big 10 Championship Game.
Johnson told the world that the baby is a girl and that her name will be Gigi. He then asked Taft to show off her baby bump.
“We’re doing it!” Jenny Taft responded as she opened her jacket.
Taft’s husband is Matt Guilroy. He played four seasons in the NHL and was on two US Men’s National Hockey Teams. The couple has been married since 2015.
Jenny Taft has made headlines a couple of times this year in her other FOX Sports role. She and Skip Bayless have had two confrontations on air about the way he has reacted to her answering questions on FS1’s Skip & Shannon: Undisputed.
Congratulations to the couple on the upcoming birth of their daughter! And a special tip of the hat to Jenny Taft. It can’t be easy to do all of the traveling and prep that comes with working a college football sideline while pregnant.
