KIRO Radio unveiled a new program last week following the retirement of longtime host Tom Tangney. The John Curley and Shari Show debuted Thursday with Shari Elliker replacing Tangney.
Elliker, a familiar voice to KIRO listeners, has co-hosted the show on Fridays since last year.
“John and Shari have great chemistry,” Bryan Buckalew, KIRO Radio program director. They’re fun to listen to and really complement KIRO Radio’s continued commitment to delivering the most important local news every weekday afternoon.”
Both Elliker and Curley are accomplished journalists and hosts. Curley won an Emmy award in television, Elliker has earned various awards from the Associated Press for hosting roles that she’s held in the past.
Prior to joining KIRO, Shari hosted WBAL Baltimore, XM Radio, WHFS, and WUSA in Washington D.C
“We’re really excited about this new show,” added Buckalew.
