Newsmax Calls Out Atlantic Broadband for Dropping Network

Newsmax is coming after Massachusetts-based Atlantic Broadband, who dropped the conservative news network on Dec. 31, prompting censorship claims against the company.

“Despite our high ratings… it is clear that Atlantic doesn’t like Newsmax’s point of view,” Newsmax said in a statement posted on its website.

Newsmax attacked Atlantic’s cable lineup, which reportedly includes 11 left-leaning networks.

“And most of these channels have less viewership than Newsmax!” The statement read

Newsmax sought to dispel rumors of bad-faith bargaining with the telecommunications company.

Newsmax said they had just agreed to an extension with Atlantic’s representatives. The network denied that its proposal required Atlantic to pay Newsmax while the channel remained accessible on the internet.

“Atlantic pays dozens of channels much more money than Newsmax was asking, though most of these channels have less viewership!” Newsmax said.

Newsmax asks its viewers to call Atlantic and ask for a live operator rather than being directed to a recording.

“With so many liberal channels on Atlantic like CNN and MSNBC, you have a right to fair and unbiased news that Newsmax offers! Let your voice be heard today!”
