Telemundo 31 in Orlando, Florida, will have a new face coming to their television station. Iris Delgado is coming aboard as a news anchor for “Noticias Telemundo 31” weekdays at 5 pm, 6 pm, and 11 pm.
Delgado will make her on-air debut for the Florida television station on Monday, March 14. She joins WTMO after working as a news anchor for Telemundo 62/WWSI in Philadelphia since 2013.
“Iris is a respected journalist and shares our commitment to bringing best-in-class news to Spanish-speaking audiences,” Miguelángel López, vice president of news for Telemundo 31, said. “We look forward to her joining our news team, and our audience reconnect with her.”
During her nine years at WWSI, Delgado covered important stories and events, including Pope Francis’ visit to Philadelphia, the 2016 Democratic National Convention, and the protests following the death of George Floyd.
Furthermore, Delgado returns to Orlando, where she knows the market after spending time as a reporter for Univision Orlando and Primer Impacto and Noticiero Univision as a correspondent.
She’s also received recognition for her journalistic work; Delgado has been awarded 11 Regional Emmy® Awards.
