All Orioles Broadcasters Returning For 2022

Every time we write about a move in the broadcast industry related to Major League Baseball, we have to couch it with “if there is a baseball season.” That is the same with the latest news about the Baltimore Orioles. The team is set to bring back its entire radio and television broadcast crews, although some assignments are changing.

The majority of games on MASN will be called by Kevin Brown. Scott Garceau will still have some assignments, but Brown will be the voice on 130 televised games, assuming there is a full season. As a result, Garceau’s role changes too. He will split his duties between radio and television. He will mainly be in a play-by-play role, but will provide studio coverage on select nights.

Geoff Arnold and Melanie Newman will also do some games on TV. The duo will call games on the radio, as will Brett Hollander. On the television side, Hollander will do some studio work and also be a sideline reporter.

As for the analysts, Jim Palmer and Ben McDonald will be back on MASN. Dave Johnson will make appearances on both MASN and the team’s radio call, which moves from 105.7 The Fan to WBAL Radio and 98 Rock this season.

The last two seasons have seen no travel for the Orioles’ broadcasters. The team is yet to decide if road games will be called remotely again this year.
