Adam Crowley Announces Move to 93.7 The Fan From iHeart Pittsburgh

Adam Crowley is on the move, going across the proverbial street for a new spot on Pittsburgh sports radio.

On Tuesday, Crowley announced that he was leaving iHeartRadio with the ol’ Notes App “personal/professional news” tweet that puts everything in one tidy image for everyone reading.

Though Crowley didn’t mention iHeart by name, but that has indeed been his radio home in Pittsburgh for the past 12 years. He was at ESPN Pittsburgh (970 AM/104.7 HD2) where he worked as a producer and hosted The Adam Crowley Show, then moved to iHeart’s Steelers Nation Radio, an HD2 digital radio channel, where he hosted the daily Inside Steelers Nation show. Crowley has also covered the Pittsburgh Penguins hockey team for iHeart.

Crowley’s stated free agency didn’t last very long, however. Just under 24 hours later, he announced his next move with a short video posted to Twitter.

As the mural behind him indicates, Crowley is jumping to Pittsburgh’s 93.7 The Fan and in doing so is also moving from iHeart to Audacy. No further details were provided by Crowley, nor 93.7 The Fan as to what Crowley’s role will be or where he might fit in the station’s on-air lineup.

Putting on the speculation hat, could Crowley join The Fan Morning Show and take the co-host and sports anchor role previously manned by the now-retired Jim Colony? The veteran broadcaster, who had been with The Fan since 2010 (and worked in Pittsburgh radio for 30 years), stepped away from a full-time role in January.

That would appear to be a good fit for Crowley, but we’ll surely find out more soon to come.
