A month ago, radio host Larry Elder decided to leave Salem Media after a six-year stint. However, the company has found a long-term replacement for the veteran radio host. Radio Insight relayed the press release announcing the arrival of Brandon Tatum to replace Elder.
Tatum will take over a network show with 387 total affiliates beginning Monday, May 16th. Furthermore, the plan is to turn the third hour of the radio show into a daily Podcast.
“Salem conducted a nationwide search, and some very big names were interested in taking this important slot,” Salem Senior Vice President of Spoken Word Phil Boyce said.
“Brandon brings a unique talent to Salem and has a strong following among the nation’s youth, with his involvement with Turning Point USA. His compelling story is riveting.”
The addition of “The Officer Tatum Show” will bring a program with a massive following with over 3 million followers on platforms, including 1.9 million subscribers on YouTube and almost 900,000 followers on Instagram.
“Words cannot describe what a blessing it is to be a part of the Salem family,” Tatum said. “I am incredibly humbled and honored to continue the legacy of the great Larry Elder.”
The addition of “The Officer Tatum Show” and a podcast on the Salem Podcast Network will expand his impact and reach young and old listeners across the country.
