More programming on the dayside is coming to NewsNation with Marni Hughes as the network beefs up its schedule leading into the primetime hours.
“NewsNation Live with Marni Hughes” will premiere on Sept. 19 and air from 9 a.m.-12 p.m. ET (h/t TV Newser). Furthermore, James Holm, who supervises NewsNation’s Early Morning, will also act as the new show’s executive producer.
“Marni will present a fast-paced look at events of the day with the perspective and nuance of a national news show,” Holm said.
The new NewsNation daytime show will rely on a team of reporters across the country and features exclusive reporting by senior national correspondent Brian Entin during its premiere week.
“Having been at NewsNation since its inception, I am grateful to have shared so many important stories that have impacted people on both a local and national level,” Hughes said.
“As I prepare for my latest role as host of NewsNation Live, I am really looking forward to continuing to shine a light on the headlines and issues that matter most to our viewers.”
Hughes has been with NewsNation since its launch in 2020, anchoring the network’s first show, a three-hour primetime national newscast, alongside Joe Donlon, Rob Nelson, and Albert Ramon.
“Marni Hughes is an award-winning veteran journalist and an experienced anchor who has been a vital part of NewsNation since its launch two years ago,” Michael Corn, NewsNation’s President of News, said.
“We are thrilled she will play an integral role in our latest daytime expansion.”
