A reported “blacklisting” by critical media members has several in the press up in arms over what they call “petty” and “punitive” decisions made by the Biden Administration. 710 WOR host Mark Simone echoed those comments during Tuesday’s show.
“Joe Biden has offended all of the media and all of the reporters at the White House. I don’t know why they would do this,” Simone said. “Every year, in December at the White House, there are a lot of Christmas parties. There’s a Christmas party for the staff, there’s a Christmas party for these people, that people, and there’s always Christmas parties for the press corps. The White House press, the D.C. reporters, in fact so many they usually do it over the course of a couple of nights.
“It’s a big thing for all the press. They bring their families, and they take pictures with the President. They all take pictures in the White House, and for weeks after on Instagram, you see pictures of them, their wife, their kids, by the White House tree. It’s a big thing for them. So this year, Biden decides not to invite any of the press. Not invited. They’re fuming! Furious about it! They look forward to it.”
Simone then added it’ll be interesting to see if the decision changes how the press covers the President, saying “they all cover up anything he does”.
