NewsNation has announced it has signed anchor Ashleigh Banfield to a new multi-year extension to remain with the upstart cable news network.
With her new deal, she will continue to host Banfield, which has seen steady growth in Nielsen ratings since its September 2022 debut. Viewership in the 25-54 demographic has risen more than 250% since her debut.
“Ashleigh is an incredible talent and a seasoned broadcast journalist,” said NewsNation President of News Michael Corn. “She covers crime and the justice system better than anyone and we are thrilled that she has re-signed with the network.”
Ashleigh Banfield will continue to focus on some of the top true crime cases making headlines.
“As the crime genre continues to be an increasingly important staple for Americans, Banfield has become an essential destination for true crime fans,” she said. “We are proud to be a place where viewers can come for a deep dive into the major crime stories happening across the country.”
Banfield currently airs at 10 PM ET on NewsNation.
