Noah Reed Joins NBC, Peacock for College Basketball Play-by-Play Role

After spending the 2017 season with the Peoria Chiefs, Reed spent 5 years with BEK Sports Network calling games for North Dakota State University.

Play-by-Play broadcaster Noah Reed has been added to the team of basketball broadcasters at NBC and Peacock. Reed posted on his X account about the new role and that he will start with a game this weekend between Illinois and SIUE.

“Thrilled to join NBC’s college basketball team, starting tomorrow night at Illinois,” Reed wrote. “The defending Big Ten Champs are coming off a trip to the Elite 8 last season and hosting SIUE at 8 p.m. ET on Peacock with Stephen Bardo.”

Reed started with ESPN in 2022 and signed a contract with them in the summer of 2023 and has called college football, basketball, volleyball and softball for the network. He has also called games for Missouri on SEC Network+ as well as Ball State University, Southern Illinois University and the University of Evansville on ESPN+.

Reed attended Ball State and called games for several sports for the school. Reed teamed with Connor Onion, another rising star on the play-by-play scene, on a sports talk show, On the Clock: With Connor Onion and Noah Reed.
