ESPN’s College GameDay saw a significant boost in their first Saturday on-site between #2 Ohio State and #5 Notre Dame.
The weekly show averaged 2,100,000 viewers for the duration of the show. That number represents a 13% increase from last year’s Week 1 event which was in Charlotte for #5 Georgia vs. #3 Clemson.
ESPN also boasted that the show grabbed the most viewers it had for a pre-November show since 2016.
This week #1 Alabama comes to Austin, Texas for a matchup with Texas in which the university is expecting 600 media requests and College GameDay will be there.
