While a lot of the focus with the Diamond Sports Group bankruptcy has surrounded deals Bally Sports had with professional teams, a contract the network had to air ACC football and basketball games has been rejected.
Yahoo reported Thursday that Diamond Sports Group and Gray Television’s sports production unit Raycom had reached a deal to end their carriage of select ACC football and men’s and women’s basketball games even prior to the Chapter 11 filing in March.

Bally Sports aired 43 men’s basketball and 25 women’s basketball games during the 2022-23 season.
The decision to part ways now allows the conference to seek out a new partner to carry games in those sports that wouldn’t otherwise get coverage by ESPN.
