Eric Von Haessler: I’m Not Big Enough to Have a Feud With Anyone

Date:

Public feuds have become a way to generate interest in attention in nearly every publicity circle. However, 95.5 WSB afternoon host Eric Von Haessler says he has no interest in feuding with anyone.

During The Von Haessler Doctrine Tuesday, the Atlanta-based host discussed recent comments made by comedian Katt Williams on a podcast, where he revealed longstanding feuds with some of Black comedy’s biggest creators, like Steve Harvey, Cedric the Entertainer, and Kevin Hart, among others.

Von Haessler joked that he simply isn’t famous enough to be in a feud with anyone.

“I don’t like the feud thing. I mean, we’re not big enough really to have a feud with anybody. Because we’re a local radio show, which is really my dream, that’s what I want. I want to be a local radio show,” said Von Haessler.

“Anytime you get involved in a feud like that, then it’s going to be natural for everybody to say, ‘Oh, he’s just looking for clout. Eric’s just looking for shine, obviously.’ Everybody knows who Katt Williams is. And ‘Eric Von Haessler can drive out of his fame’. Literally, you can take a 60-mile circle around Atlanta, and I can just drive out of any local fame that I have. So to me, it’s I just don’t, overall, I don’t like the whole feud thing.”

Feuds have become somewhat normal, especially in the news media space. Late last year, 77WABC host Sid Rosenberg revealed he was in a feud with syndicated host Mark Levin. However, the pair eventually reconciled and shared a mutual admiration publicly.
