Stephens Media Group Acquires Sunny 106.9, Alexandria, LA

After operating the station under an LMA, Stephens Media Group is acquiring AC KEDG (Sunny 106.9)/Alexandria, LA, from Flinn Broadcasting Corporation.

In 2019, Stephens acquired 37 stations from Mapleton Communications, which included the LMA for KEDG. Now, Stephens will pay $332,000 to purchase the station’s license and 5.48 acres of land where the transmitter tower is located. Some of the previous LMA payments will be credited towards this acquisition.

In addition to KEDG, the Stephens Media Group’s Alexandria cluster includes Country KLAA (LA 103.5)/Tioga, Christian AC KEZP (104.3 The Bridge)/Bunkie and Country KBKK (105.5 K-Buck)/Ball.
