Fans of the Milwaukee Brewers will be treated to ten regular-season games broadcast this season over free over-the-air television, the team announced on Tuesday. According to a release, the franchise has announced a partnership with Good Karma Brands that will bring a selection of regular-season games, along with some remaining spring training telecasts, to WITI FOX6 in Milwaukee and several other areas within the Brewers’ television territory.
As part of this new agreement, ten regular-season games will air on the local Milwaukee FOX affiliate. The broadcasts will begin with a simulcast of the team’s home opener on March 31 against the Kansas City Royals. Additionally, the remaining simulcasts will take place on Tuesday evenings throughout the rest of the regular season, ensuring fans have consistent opportunities to watch their team in action.
“Offering access to Brewers games and showcasing our players to as broad of an audience as possible is a high priority for us,” said Brewers President of Business Operations Rick Schlesinger. “This partnership with Good Karma Brands, in conjunction with FanDuel Sports Network, FOX6, and the affiliates network, gives us great reach to fans throughout the television territory.”
Moreover, this new partnership significantly expands the team’s reach, making it possible for even more fans to tune in—especially those who do not subscribe to the FanDuel Sports Network or traditional cable and satellite providers. According to the report, this additional broadcast option is expected to reach over four million households within the team’s viewing territory, providing greater accessibility to Brewers baseball.
Likewise, executives at FOX6 Milwaukee are excited about the opportunity to bring more games to local fans.
“The partnership with Good Karma Brands is an incredible opportunity to bring Brewers baseball to even more local fans,” said Glenn Berk, SVP & GM of FOX6 Milwaukee via a release. “Baseball is a cornerstone of our community, and we’re proud to provide free broadcast access, giving our hometown crowd more ways to cheer on the Brewers all season long.”
Similarly, Greg Scalzo, Vice President & Marketing Manager for Good Karma Brands Milwaukee, sees this collaboration as a major win for everyone involved.
“We are extremely excited to partner with the Milwaukee Brewers, FOX6, and all of the Wisconsin affiliates to offer Brewers baseball to fans across the state,” said Scalzo. “This is an incredible opportunity to deliver free access to our communities across the state, ensuring more fans cheer on the defending NL Central Champion Brewers all season long.”
In addition to these regular-season broadcasts, the teams’ spring training telecasts will also provide fans with early-season excitement. The schedule includes matchups against the Los Angeles Angels on Saturday, the Cleveland Guardians on Sunday, and a highly anticipated game against the Arizona Diamondbacks on March 21.
Beyond the home opener, the remaining nine games featured in the broadcast lineup will include key matchups such as the Detroit Tigers on April 15, the Baltimore Orioles on May 20, and three crucial games against their division rival, the Chicago Cubs. With this expanded access, fans will have even more opportunities to follow their team throughout the season.
