670 The Score executive producer Shane Riordan has announced his exit from the Chicago sports radio outlet. He posted the news via his X account, announcing his departure after nearly nine years at The Score in several roles with the radio station.
Riordan most recently served as executive producer of the Spiegel & Holmes Show alongside associate producer Chris Tannehill.
“Feels so odd to say and even using social media at the moment doesn’t feel right,” Riordan tweeted. “But I am no longer with 670 The Score and would appreciate any and all leads.”
Previously, Riordan had served as producer on The Score’s afternoon drive programming for several years, including multiple shows that also featured former Score personality Danny Parkins, who left the station in 2024 to co-host FS1 Breakfast Ball. Additionally, he was a leader of certain digital creations for The Score, including the podcast Shane’s Meat and several other ventures.
Meanwhile, Laurence Holmes and Matt Spiegel addressed Riordan’s exit during a transition segment today on the radio station.
“The station and Shane Riordan decided to part ways. It’s a lot to process,” said Spiegel. “I’m going to comment on it tomorrow. Here at the station today is about Leila, Marshall, and Grote twice a week being announced. We’re happy for them. On our show today it’s going to be about the Bears draft and the Cubs on Sunday night baseball last night. But I want to acknowledge to the listeners we understand it’s a lot to process, and it’s a lot for us too.”
Moreover, all involved with the transition segment emphasized that they care for Riordan very much, regarding him as a friend with a lot of love.
Riordan’s exit is just the latest move in a very active year for 670 The Score’s personnel changes. Earlier today, the radio station announced Leila Rahimi as the new full-time co-host of Rahimi and Harris alongside Marshall Harris. This announcement follows the exit of Dan Bernstein, who departed from the radio station after a social media exchange cost him his position with the station.
