FuboTV and DAZN have announced a multi-year partnership to distribute their respective owned-and-operated linear channels across each other’s platforms in the United States. The agreement marks the beginning of a broader collaboration between the two companies, with further initiatives expected in the future.
As part of the first phase of the deal, Fubo has launched a new linear channel, DAZN1, featuring DAZN’s exclusive boxing and MMA events. This includes access to premium live fights and on-demand content. For the first time, Fubo subscribers can purchase DAZN1 either as a stand-alone subscription or as an add-on to Fubo’s virtual multichannel video programming distributor service.
“Fubo and DAZN’s partnership delivers more premium sports to fans, wherever they choose to watch,” said David Gandler, co-founder and CEO of Fubo.
In return, DAZN will begin offering Fubo Sports, Fubo’s free ad-supported streaming television (FAST) channel. The channel delivers over 400 live sporting events annually, along with sports documentaries and films. Initially launched by Fubo in 2019, Fubo Sports showcases exclusive UEFA soccer matches, Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship (BKFC), Peak Fighting, and Ultimate Strongman competitions. The channel is currently available on Fubo and nearly a dozen other free streaming platforms, with select content also featured on YouTube.
“Adding DAZN’s unmatched fight content enhances our sports entertainment lineup while offering customers greater flexibility,” added Gandler. ”We’re also excited to expand our FAST channel, Fubo Sports, through DAZN and explore further opportunities with Shay and his team.”
Additionally, the new partnership allows Fubo to carry DAZN’s live Pay-Per-View events, further enhancing its combat sports offerings.
Shay Segev, CEO of DAZN Group, echoed the enthusiasm. “Our deal with Fubo enables DAZN to increase access to top-tier sports content for fans in the U.S. and Canada, as we continue to provide the ultimate sports entertainment experience,” he said. “Fubo’s viewers can now watch the world’s leading fight talent compete in unmissable events as part of a new DAZN premium fight package. Meanwhile, the launch of Fubo Sports on the DAZN platform will be an exciting addition to our ever-expanding portfolio of premium sports content.”
The strategic alliance underscores both companies’ commitment to expanding sports access and flexibility for viewers through innovative distribution models.
