“Batya is a brilliant voice who understands the current sentiment of the country,” said NewsNation President of Programming & Specials Michael Corn. “NewsNation will always be a platform for all Americans, and we are eager to bring Ms. Ungar-Sargon’s unique perspective to our viewers and extend our live news coverage on the weekends.”

Currently, Batya Ungar-Sargon serves as a columnist for The Free Press, founded by Bari Weiss. She has also written three books, including an upcoming release titled The Left and the Jews.

With the implementation of the new program, the NewsNation weekend lineup will make slight alterations. NewsNation Now with Anna Kooiman will air from 1-4 ET in advance of the program from Ungar-Sargon. Meanwhile, another edition of the news-focused show hosted by Keleigh Beeson will air from 5-8 PM ET. NewsNation Prime with Natasha Zouves will then be extended one hour to broadcast from 8-11 PM ET.
