Stephen A. Smith hosts a weekly political show with SiriusXM on P.O.T.U.S. Channel 124. But you often don’t hear as many Democrats as he’d like on the program, and is now sharing why.
During his most recent show with the satellite broadcaster, Stephen A. Smith shared that he’s put in requests to interview some of the most prominent Democratic lawmakers.
But they haven’t been as receptive as their Republican counterparts, which is a sticking point for him.
“Jasmine Crockett has been invited on this show for four months. AOC has been on this show for four months,” Smith said. “Gavin Newsom has been invited on this show longer than that. Props to Hakeem Jeffries, he’s a friend of the show, always welcome on here. I like that man. I respect him.
“Chuck Schumer’s been invited on this show. Hasn’t shown up,” Smith continued. “Where they at? Every single Republican I have asked to show up on this show has either said yes or that they’re coming. Not the Dems. Why?”
Stephen A. Smith debuted his Straight Shooter program in September. That show airs on P.O.T.U.S. on Wednesdays from 6-8 PM ET. His guest list is often made up of bipartisan elected officials or media members representing both sides of the political aisle.
