Candace Owens has been vocal about uncovering a supposed conspiracy in the assassination of Charlie Kirk. Fox News Radio host Guy Benson has seen and heard enough.
On The Guy Benson Show, he shared that the statements and conspiracies shared by Owens have gone too far. He believes, in no uncertain terms, that Owens is lying about her position on the topic and is knowingly causing damage to Erika Kirk and Turning Point usa.
“The podcaster, former friend of Charlie’s in question, who had a relationship with TPUSA and then was, I think, sort of put out to pasture because of increasing derangement in a lot of different ways, said, ‘Well, if Turning Point is innocent, they can present the evidence, and we can have that conversation anywhere, anytime.’ This is what Candace said,” said Benson.
“I saw the clip. Because I won’t actually download her show or watch. I don’t want to give her money. I don’t want to reward any of this that she’s doing,” he added.
Benson noted that — from his standpoint — the edict from Candace Owens was clear: “anytime, any place, you name it.” But he shared his belief that Owens uses “ever-moving goal posts” to avoid confronting the notion that she has shared conspiracies.
“How do people not see this?” the Fox News Radio host questioned, adding that he “would love to not mention her name almost ever again, if possible.”
Benson concluded by admitting why he was taking a stand against Owens and her conduct in recent weeks.
“I’ve mostly bit my tongue on it, not because I’m scared of her or not wanting to take sides,” he said. “I think I have been very clear in these heinous arguments that we’re having in the online right-wing or right-of-center space. I’ve been pretty clear on that, especially with some of the anti semitism and the list that goes on.
“But sometimes things just need to be said explicitly, out loud,” he said. “It’s a time for choosing. I choose truth, and I choose respecting this widow and not spitting on her family and the grave of her murdered husband. That’s my position.”
