SiriusXM is expanding its relationship with Fox News Media. A dedicated Fox Weather channel is coming to the platform.
What We Know: SiriusXM and Fox Weather are expanding their relationship as the weather streaming service prepares for hurricane season. Fox Weather will launch on SiriusXM on Wednesday, June 3. Listeners across North America will access the channel through the SiriusXM app on channel 799. The rollout arrives just after the official start of Atlantic hurricane season on June 1. During major weather events, Fox Weather will also operate as a free public service on SiriusXM-enabled radios and the SiriusXM app. Fox Weather launched in 2021 as a FAST TV service and has steadily expanded its distribution footprint.
What’s at Stake: The addition gives Fox Weather another high-profile platform while strengthening SiriusXM’s live information offerings. Fox Weather says it has invested heavily in weather coverage innovation, including 3D mobile radar and a nationwide camera network. Meanwhile, the service has built a reputation for extended live storm coverage and emergency reporting.
What Remains Unclear: No financial terms of the deal were disclosed.
What It Means: The agreement broadens Fox Weather’s reach beyond traditional streaming and television distribution. As weather emergencies increasingly drive audience demand, SiriusXM gains another real-time information asset while Fox Weather adds valuable in-car exposure across North America. Fox Weather is replacing Alerts from The Weather Channel on SiriusXM’s platform on channel 799.
