Dan Dakich called Tuesday “a great day!”. He announced on Twitter that he has agreed to a new deal with Emmis that will keep him in middays on 107.5 The Fan in Indianapolis.
There were plenty of whispers on the internet regarding Dakich’s future at the station. Many speculated that his new digital show with Outkick meant his time on terrestrial radio may be coming to an end.
Terms of the deal remain a mystery. The Indianapolis Star reached out to Emmis for details. The company responded by saying it doesn’t publicly discuss personnel issues.
Dan Dakich has been at the Fan since 2008. His midday show has routinely been recognized as one of the best in the country by voters in the BSM Top 20 list. He finished at number one on the mid market list for three consecutive years before being dethroned on the 2021 list by ESPN Cleveland’s The Really Big Show.
