McCarthy will be replaced by Scott Franzke, the longtime Phillies radio announcer. He will be joined by John Kruk in the NBC Sports Philadelphia booth.

The conference will earn more than $8 billion over a seven-year deal with CBS, Fox, and NBC. It will generate $1.1 billion per year. Its previous deal with Fox and ESPN garnered the conference $440 million annually.
Although its weeknight evening news program regularly trails their ABC and NBC counterparts, the network led here with 4.22 million total viewers, according to Nielsen Media Research.
Sports Business Journal's John Ourand reports ESPN declined a seven-year, $380 million per year offer from the Big Ten to remain a media partner of the conference.
"As this landscape changes, it’s important to find ways to deliver the product in the way people are consuming the game these days. So it’s a challenge. … I think we’re all optimistic that we can get to a good place."
