DirecTV launched the platform in 2005, with Andrew Siciliano hosting the whip around coverage of the NFL. The league launched it's on NFL RedZone version in 2009 with Scott Hanson.

A quick survey of the official DirecTV twitter account on Monday shows dozens of replies to customers complaining that the service did not work for them.
