It's a story that has far exceeded the bounds of a great sports moment.

It marked the largest win for the show over ABC News' This Week with George Stephanopoulos in more than a year.

Many news/talk radio hosts will tell you that someone like Jimmy Kimmel "turns away half the audience" by his political opinions. And they're completely oblivious to the fact that they do the same.

"I want to say I’m sorry for misleading people. It was not intentional. That’s all I’ll say.”

"I just gotta say that I would be far wealthier had I done the MAGA impersonation so many others have done, but holy hell am I glad I don't have to beclown myself on a daily basis to prove my loyalty to keep the gravy train going."

The post did not appear to be prompted by any specific recent event.

"I would die to have audio of him calling out one of my hosts. Could you imagine what you could do with it?"

When I interviewed him in the White House during his first term, he didn't attack. He acknowledged my questions and bobbed and weaved, quickly pivoting to another topic without giving me a clear answer.
