Video isn’t radio with pictures. Video is another medium. Radio and podcasting are separate media as well. You can’t get away with doing a half-assed job on any of them.
Arguing that public radio and television are competing for the same audience assumes that there’s some crossover between the two. You’re doing different things.
I’m proud that I got to work on some unusual radio projects and the early stages of podcasting, but today we’re at the same things-gotta-change position as we were back then, only worse.
