I am not saying to ignore the State of the Union. But we should all be focused on the biggest story, and that could be the State of the Union. More than likely, there will be something else.

Biden’s Mar. 7 address is the first time a president in the fourth year of his first term has seen State of the Union viewership increase compared to the year prior.

As President Biden gives his State of the Union address Thursday, one can ponder what the challenges and opportunities for news/talk radio will look like in the coming year.

It was off 29 percent from Biden's 2022 State of the Union (38.2 million), with every outlet covering the speech seeing a decline from last year.
