A Starnes Country Christmas will include live musical performances, special holiday-themed guests, and Christmas trivia with celebrity panelists, among other items.

Some argued that it was a long time coming, noting that Stern's work schedule wasn't in line with his high-figure salary. Others argued that Stern is a shell of his former self and has fallen from his perch as "The King of All Media."

Deeter originally joined the station owned by nationally syndicated radio host Todd Starnes in May 2021 as a news anchor.

Currently, the show from Starnes is heard on more than 150 stations nationwide.
