On Sunday, the Birmingham Stallions and Philadelphia Stars played for the USFL Championship. On Sunday, a lot of people tuned in.
Fox announced that the game on Sunday averaged 1,517,000 viewers during the bout that was the first game not played in Birmingham this season.
The network also announced that the audience peaked right when they wanted it to, at the end of an exciting second half that saw the Stallions come back to win 33-30. That audience number topped at 1,834,000 during the 10:30-10:45pm ET window.
It’s also no surprise which market was the best for the USFL title game. Birmingham, the winning team and host of nearly every single game, averaged an 11.0/24 for the market’s best USFL game since Week 1.
It marks the end of what has been seen as a successful first year back on the gridiron for the league which is already in the stages for a Year Two.
