The NFL Network has told Mike Florio that Willie McGinest is off the rotation for now. The two-time Pro Bowler was arrested and charged with assault with a deadly weapon earlier this week.
McGinest turned himself into police on Monday. Later that day, TMZ published a video that appeared to show McGinest striking a man first with his fists and then with a bottle while inside of a Los Angeles night club.
“We are aware of the incident and the video which is disturbing,” a statement from the NFL Network sent to Pro Football Talk reads. “Willie McGinest will not appear on NFL Network while we review the matter.”
It does not appear that Willie McGinest has been terminated. His profile still appears on the NFL Network’s website.
He is scheduled to appear in court for the first time on Wednesday.
